PAST EVENTS:
An afternoon of wellness and education for new and expecting moms.
We are excited to bring you a half-day retreat! You'll learn everything you need to know about staying healthy in your pregnancy and will get the tools you'll need for labor and early motherhood.
This year has been challenging for everyone. It has been even more challenging for pregnant women. Not only do we have to navigate pregnancy, we do not have a community in which to connect. With most hospitals conducting shorter appointments, limiting birthing classes, and not allowing any hospital tours, it has been incredibly hard to meet other women in similar situations and share personal experiences. This December we are bringing you a virtual offering so that you can make those connections.
The event will feature experts from the birthing industry to demystify the birthing experience and help you stay strong during and after pregnancy. We will also chat with you about what to expect after the baby is born, with the support of a pelvic floor expert and lactation specialist.
Finally, we will cover the topic of what it’s like giving birth in the new COVID world. We will hear the first-hand experience of a New York doula who will then answer all of your questions.
The lineup also includes prenatal boxing, prenatal yoga, prenatal nutrition, labor in COVID times, pelvic floor education, elimination communication, facial massage from DUCALM, and lactation and breastfeeding. Plus plenty of opportunities to meet and exchange questions. Full line up coming soon!
This event is designed for new moms and expecting families. It will be hosted on Zoom and is free to attend, with RSVP required. We will also offer a limited number of VIP boxes that include free private fitness sessions, and other gifts from our sponsors. The VIP Boxes are $35 each and will be shipped to each participant ahead of the event.
If you would like to be a sponsor or to be included in our VIP box, please email Sputikyoga@gmail.com

About Me and what inspired me to start my business...
It all started when I was watching a Mumma on YouTube, Mumma Katrine. I’d been researching “Day in the Life” videos of what it’s like to have a baby. (Funny, I know total geek) I was so nervous to embark on this whole parenting journey. There is so much information out there for new parents and I’m a very visual person so I thought this may help prepare me… Spoiler alert, it didn’t!
During Katrine’s video she stopped to take her 5 month old to the potty and sparked a curiosity that led me to Andrea Olsen’s site, Go Diaper Free. Andrea’s approach impressed me so much, she later became my mentor.
At first I thought it was a crazy idea, this concept of no nappies, but I was excited at the environmental impacts –I’m an environmentalist at heart. I wanted to know more... Could you really take a baby to the potty instead of their nappy? So really, the YouTube videos and reading guidesbegan while I was only pregnant with my daughter, but it wasn’t until we encountered our first ‘potty pause’ at around 8 months old that I ended up buying Andrea’s book.
In reality, we successfully caught her first wee in the potty at just 6 weeks old. I’m pretty sure I cried when it happened! I saw how much my daughter disliked soiling herself in her nappy and how happy she was when she pee’d out of her nappy, so I became quite attuned to her signals which are super clear at that age and quite primal. They really let you know!
Meeting her needs in that way eliminated around 80-90% of her fussiness/distress/colic and I was surprised at how easy the process was once we had all the info to start.
I desperately wanted to share this information now with other mums so I completed Andrea’s coach course and became a certified consultant in both Andrea’s methods of Elimination Communication and Gentle Potty Training/Learning
